The countryside is peppered with crystal clear deep blue lakes filled with giant carp “koi” over 1 meter long. “koi’ is also the Japanese pronunciation for the word love.

The cool breeze passes through the trees as we drive by waterfalls where the geisha would come for purification. We visit ancient temples and shrines in the mountains and lunch in the forest.

We move to a traditional Japanese farm house and I will teach you how to cook a traditional Japanese meal that you will prepare for yourselves. Your will spend the night in the farm house and will have the option of staying in a European room or a traditional Japanese room.

In the morning we an awake and I will teach you how to make a traditional Japanese breakfast.

We then drive to Mitsumine Keikoku, forested river deep in the mountains. We drive to Mitsumine shrine deeper in the mountains, a shrine dedicated to the Japanese wolf.

We return through the mountains and pay a visit to the temple of the grave of the ancient Korean princes.
